Energy and utilities for businesses with several sites
With several sites, the risk is not one bad price; it is ten contracts renewing at different times with nobody watching. We map every meter, end date and notice window, check each site against its own usage, and give you one point of contact for all of it.
- Each site checked against its own usage, not a group average
- Every meter’s end date and notice window on one list
- Electricity and gas quoted separately for each site

How Helios helps multi-site groups.
Every site has its own meters, end dates and invoices. Helios maps them all onto one list, site by site.
Each site on its own usage
Every site checked against its own consumption and contract, never a group average.
Every end date on one list
All meters, end dates and notice windows mapped across your sites, with reminders before each one.
One contact for every site
Energy, water, waste, card machines, telecoms and insurance renewals for the whole group in one portal.
Access for your team
Head office sees every site and site managers see their own, with meter-reading reminders for each site.
Each site checked against its own usage
Group averages hide the sites that cost the most. A kitchen-heavy site, a site on a half-hourly meter and a small kiosk can sit side by side on the same portfolio with very different needs. We look at each site’s own consumption, meter and contract, and we never blend rates.
Electricity and gas are quoted separately for every site, with unit rates and standing charges shown exactly as printed.
Mapping every meter, end date and notice window
Ofgem says you can be moved onto out-of-contract or deemed rates, usually higher than negotiated rates, if a fixed contract ends without a new one. Across many sites, that risk multiplies. The first thing we do is build a list of every meter with its supplier, end date and notice window.
From there, end dates can be brought into line over time, for example by renewing sites as they come up and choosing terms that end together. We set out the options and the trade-offs; the decision is yours.

Half-hourly data and market-wide settlement
Market-wide half-hourly settlement is being introduced across Great Britain, sponsored by Ofgem and delivered by Elexon. Energy UK says suppliers must make sure their systems and customer meters can record and deliver half-hourly data. For a group, that data shows exactly when each site uses power, which makes site-by-site comparison more accurate.

Water, waste and telecoms across your sites
In England, around 1.2 million non-household customers can choose their water retailer. In Wales, a site can only switch if it uses more than 50 million litres a year, and Scotland has its own market of licensed providers, so a group with sites in more than one nation has different options at different sites.
For Simpler Recycling in England, the micro-firm extension depends on full-time equivalent employees across the whole business, not per site. A waste transfer note season ticket covers repeat collections of the same waste by the same carrier for up to a year.

What we look after across your sites
Where multi-site groups lose track
Different end dates everywhere
Each site signed at a different time, so renewals arrive all year. One missed notice window can mean months on higher rates.
Sites added and closed
New sites start on deemed rates; closed sites keep billing. Ofgem says you pay for energy used before a new contract starts.

Bills nobody compares
Without a site-by-site view, an expensive site hides inside the group total.
The list we build for every group
Before we quote anything, we build one schedule for all your sites:
- Site, supplier and meter number for every supply
- Contract end date and notice window for each
- Unit rates and standing charges as printed
- Water supply points and retailers
- Waste collections per site
- Lines used by alarms, lifts and card terminals
What to send us
Send what you have and we will ask for anything else we need.
- A list of your sites and addresses
- A recent bill for each meter
- Any contract end dates you already know
- Half-hourly data for larger sites, if available
- A contact at each site for meter access, if needed
How Helios looks after a group.
Here is how a group’s contracts look in the Helios portal: every service, every end date and every document in one place.
- One contact for every service and every site
- Every end date and notice window tracked, with reminders
- Rates exactly as printed: electricity and gas always quoted separately
- Contracts, documents and meter readings in your Helios portal

What we may find
It depends on your sites and contracts. These are the things we check.
- Sites on out-of-contract or deemed rates
- Closed sites still being billed
- Notice windows about to close
- Sites whose costs stand out once compared on their own usage

Frequently asked questions
What is a multi-site energy contract?
A contract or set of contracts covering more than one meter. Each site still has its own meter and usage; we compare each one on its own.
Can all my sites end on the same date?
Often, over time. We renew sites as they come up and choose terms that end together, so you are not forced to break contracts early.
Can different sites stay with different suppliers?
Yes. The aim is the right contract for each site, not one supplier for its own sake.
Do you blend gas and electricity rates across sites?
Never. Gas and electricity are separate products, and each site is quoted on its own figures.
Bring your group into one place.
Send us a recent bill and we will start with your contract dates and prices. Add the rest of your services whenever you are ready.
